THE CENTRAL BANK INCREASED THE LIMIT ON TRANSFERS ABROAD - INDIVIDUALS

The Central Bank allowed individuals to transfer abroad up to $150,000 per month from June 8. The same amount can be transferred to foreign accounts by non-resident individuals from “friendly” countries. Through companies that make transfers without opening an account, you can now transfer no more than $10,000
The Bank of Russia has raised the threshold for transfers abroad for individuals - from June 8, it is allowed to transfer up to $150,000 per month to foreign accounts. Before that, the limit was $50,000 per month. This was reported on the website of the Central Bank.

Through companies that make transfers without opening an account, residents and non-residents from friendly countries can transfer no more than $10,000 or the equivalent in another foreign currency per month. Previously, the limit for such transactions was $5,000.

The restrictions are valid until September 30 inclusive, the regulator said in a statement.

In early March, after the start of the “special operation” * in Ukraine, the Central Bank limited transfers to individuals abroad to the amount of $ 5,000 per month. Later, the limit was raised to $10,000, and in mid-May, the regulator allowed transfers up to $50,000 per month.

In addition, from April 18, the Central Bank allowed Russian banks to resume sales of cash currency to the population - but only that which arrived at the cash desks no earlier than April 9. The Central Bank is also allowed to withdraw euros from accounts and deposits. The regulator explained the easing of restrictions by the fact that the Russians are beginning to change the currency back to rubles, and the banks have foreign currency cash.
