CONTROL OVER APPLICATIONS OF RUSSIAN NATIONALS FOR RESIDENCE PERMITS

Control over the applications of Russian citizens for a short-term residence permit in Turkey was strengthened.
This is aimed at preventing obtaining a residence permit for other purposes.
A foreigner who comes to Turkey for reasons such as education, family, scientific research, ownership of real estate in Turkey, commercial connections, or establishing a business and fulfilling the relevant requirements can apply for the corresponding type of residence. Evidence is required for each claim, and that evidence is verified. After that, permits are issued within the framework of the examinations.
If a foreigner who came to Turkey for the first time and applied for a tourist residence permit cannot prove that he came as a tourist, the issuance of a tourist residence permit for this person will be refused.
