MOST FOREIGN COMPANIES OPENED BY RUSSIAN CITIZENS IN 2022

Over 1.5 thousand companies were created last year in Turkey with the participation of Russia, which bypassed Iran and Germany in terms of the number of established companies with foreign capital.

This is evidenced by data published on Sunday by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of the country.

According to him, in total, 20,135 companies with foreign capital were created in Turkey in 2022, which is a record figure since 2010.

As follows from the statistics of the Turkish business community, last year 1,363 firms with Russian participation (140 joint-stock companies and 1,223 limited liability companies) were registered in the republic. Iran is in second place (1.3 thousand companies), and Germany is in third place (484 companies).

The Anatolian Agency clarifies that foreign nationals invested mainly in the wholesale sector of Turkey, in which 3,070 companies were opened in 2022. It is followed by the real estate sector (1,043) and commercial and other services (938).

Of the firms with foreign capital, 62% are in Istanbul (12,462 companies). It is followed by Antalya (1648) and Ankara (821).
