Turkey's flagship civil aviation company, Türk Hava Yolları (THY), has been awarded the Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline award by The World Finance. This was reported by the press service of THY.
The award is given for having one of the world's most modern and youngest fleets, commitment to gender equality, fuel economy, and emission reduction, flexibility during a pandemic, and strong financial performance.
The airline, which flies to most countries in the world, considers sustainability to be one of the most important areas of its growth strategy, Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the airline, said in this regard.
“The World Finance award confirms the correctness of the chosen course of the airline,” Bolat emphasized.
