PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN IN TÜRKIYE

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Ankara for talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The plane with the official delegation of Kazakhstan landed at the Esenboga airport in Ankara at 11.25 local time.

At the airport, President Tokayev was met by Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, representatives of the administration of the governor and the municipality of the Turkish capital, Turkish Ambassador to Nur-Sultan Ufuk Ekiji, and Kazakh Ambassador to Ankara Yerkebulan Sapiyev.

The official welcoming ceremony for the President of Kazakhstan will take place at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

Presidents Erdogan and Tokayev will hold talks in bilateral and expanded formats.

Several documents will be signed in the presence of the heads of state.

Then there will be a joint press conference between Tokayev and Erdogan.

The Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Turkey previously reported that the first official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as President of Kazakhstan to Turkey will last two days.

The agenda of the visit includes discussions on the state and prospects of the strategic partnership between the two Turkic-speaking states.

An exchange of views on regional and international issues will take place.
