MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION TRANSACTIONS HAVE BEEN CONCLUDED IN REAL ESTATE

More than 1.2 million transactions have been concluded in the Turkish real estate market since the beginning of the year, according to Anadolu agency on Friday, citing the main department of the land register and cadastre of the Ministry of Environment, Urban Development and Climate of Turkey.
Directly in May, 276,376 real estate purchase and sale transactions were made in the country, which is 3.7% lower than in April, when this figure exceeded 287,000.
In total, 1,271,971 real estate purchase and sale transactions were carried out in Turkey in January-May 2022.
At the same time, 562,896 transactions were related to residential buildings, 216,582 - to land plots, 340,403 - to crop areas, 59,917 - to offices, and the rest - to the sale of other real estate.
Most of the real estate sales were in Istanbul - 170,692 units. This is followed by Ankara - 87,864, Izmir - 72,049, Antalya - 53,448, Bursa - 48,699, Konya - 37,043, Kocaeli - 35,121 and Balikesir - 34,807 units.
