Israeli airlines may resume regular flights to Turkey after a 15-year break. This was reported by the newspaper "Cumhuriyet" on Monday.
According to the publication, as part of the process of normalizing relations between the two countries, Turkey and Israel plan to conclude a new agreement on cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
Negotiations on this issue will be held on Monday, the newspaper writes. They, in particular, provide for discussing the issues of establishing direct flights from Israel, increasing their frequency, and settling security issues, on which the Israeli side insists.
According to Cumhuriyet, Israeli air carriers have not operated flights to Turkey since 2007. At the same time, Turkish Airlines operate regular flights to Israel.
