A hidden paradise, the Acarlar floodplain, which is the second largest in the world and the largest in Turkey, also became the focus of attention for local and foreign tourists shortly before its opening.
The Acarlar floodplain, which is home to more than 200 species of migratory birds and about 2,300 species of plants in an area of 24 kilometers, has become one of the must-see tourist places not only in Sakarya but also in Turkey in recent years.
The floodplain is rich in water lilies and lake tulips, endemic vegetation, various types of trees, especially ash, as well as a variety of birds and fish, and is beautiful at any time of the year.
