Turkey's tourism revenue for 2022 topped a record of $46 billion, Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said,
''The travel industry's goal for 2023 is to make more than $56 billion, the official noted'' The authorities hope that foreigners will spend an average of $95 a day this year, and by 2028 it will already be $118.
“The task is to bring tourism revenue to $100 billion by 2028, and the number of tourists to 90 million,” the minister added.
According to the Turkish Bureau of Statistics (TUIK) released on January 31, revenue growth compared to the “pandemic” 2021 was 53.4 percent.
